FAQ
Q1: Can this blade cut through wood with
nails?
A: No. This is a High Carbon Steel (HCS)
blade designed for clean cuts in pure wood and plastic. If you need to cut wood
with embedded nails, please choose our Bi-Metal (BIM) oscillating blades to
avoid damaging the teeth.
Q2: What machines does this fit?
A: It features a Universal Quick Release
interface that fits most brands like Fein Multimaster, Bosch, Milwaukee,
Makita, and Dewalt. (Note: Does not fit Starlock system without an adapter).
Q3: What is the benefit of HCS over
Bi-Metal?
A: HCS blades are generally sharper and cut
faster in soft wood than Bi-Metal blades. They are also more cost-effective,
making them perfect for general woodworking and drywall tasks where no metal is
present.
Q4: Is the 45mm width better than the
standard 34mm?
A: It depends on the task. The 45mm width
is excellent for making wider cuts and provides better guidance for straight
lines, whereas the 34mm is better for smaller, more detailed plunge cuts.
Q5: Is your saw blade interface
universal? Can it be installed on Starlock or some newer major brand machines?
A: Compatibility is at the heart of our
product design.
Universal Shank: This saw blade uses the
Johnson Tools standard universal open interface design. It is perfectly
compatible with over 95% of swing multi-tools on the market, including major
brands such as Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, Ridgid, Rockwell, and Ryobi.
Starlock Note: Please note that this
interface design is compatible with most standard quick-release systems, but if
you are using a Bosch or Fein Starlock-specific interface machine, you may
require an additional adapter.
Q6: What are the main differences between
BIM (Bi-Metal) and HCS (High Carbon Steel) oscillating multi-tool blades?
A: The
primary differences lie in their tooth design, material composition, and
intended applications:
