Q1: Can I use these dry on granite?
A: Yes, these are Universal Wet/Dry Pads. They are formulated to handle the heat of dry polishing on granite. However, for the absolute best gloss and longest pad life, using a little water is always recommended if the job site allows.

Q2: What RPM should I run these at?
A: For resin bond pads, we recommend a speed between 2,000 and 4,000 RPM. Exceeding 4,500 RPM (especially when running dry) can cause the resin to overheat and wear out prematurely.

Q3: Do I need all 7 steps?
A: For a restoration quality finish, yes. Skipping grits will leave visible scratches. If you just need a honed (matte) finish, you can stop at #400 or #800.

Q4: Will these fit my angle grinder?
A: Yes, provided you have a Velcro Backer Pad (Backing Holder) with the correct thread (usually M14 or 5/8"-11) for your grinder. We sell compatible backer pads separately.
