product usage
Core Drilling for Thinner Stone Applications:
Q1: What is the difference between M14 and 1/2" Gas threads? Which one should I choose?
A: The choice depends entirely on your machine:
M14 Thread: Designed for Handheld Angle Grinders. Choose this if you need flexibility for on-site dry drilling or quick repairs.
1/2" Gas (BSP) Thread: Designed for CNC Machines, Bench Drills, or Drill Rigs. Choose this for high-precision, wet drilling in a factory setting.
Q2: Is this drill bit for dry or wet use?
A: This bit is engineered for Wet and Dry use.
Dry Use: Offers maximum convenience with angle grinders (M14), ideal for job sites where water isn't available.
Wet Use: We highly recommend using water whenever possible. It significantly cools the bit, extends its lifespan, and provides a cleaner cut on thick granite.
Q3: Why do small and large diameters have different segment shapes?
A: We optimize the design based on size:
Small Diameters (6mm-14mm): Feature a Crown Segment (continuous rim). This ensures easy starting and precise centering prevents the bit from "walking" on the stone.
Large Diameters: Feature Normal Segments (segmented rim). The gaps between segments allow for better water flow and debris removal during deep drilling.
Q4: What materials can this bit drill? Can it cut Quartz?
A: Yes. These bits utilize premium diamond segments designed for hard stone. They are excellent for drilling Granite, Marble, Sandstone, Limestone, and engineered Quartz Stone.
Q5: What is the recommended RPM?
A:
For M14 (Angle Grinders): We recommend high speeds, typically 6,000 - 11,000 RPM, to ensure efficient dry cutting.
For 1/2" Gas (Drill Rigs): Speed should be adjusted based on the bit diameter (e.g., 2,500 - 4,500 RPM for medium sizes) combined with sufficient water cooling.
Q6: Do you offer customization for sizes or brands?
A: Yes. Our standard range is 6mm to 50mm. As a direct manufacturer, we can customize diameters, working lengths, and laser-mark your Logo/Brand on the barrel upon request.
