Q1: Can I use these pads dry?

A: No. These are strictly Wet Polishing Pads. They require a constant flow of water to cool the resin bond and flush away slurry. Using them dry will overheat the resin, potentially burning the stone and ruining the pad.

Q2: What machine do these fit?

A: These 180mm (7-inch) pads fit standard Floor Polishing Machines, Planetary Grinders, or large 7-inch Handheld Wet Polishers/Sanders with a Velcro backing pad.

Q3: Will the white resin stain my dark stone?

A: No, the "white" resin is designed to be neutral and non-marking. It is specifically formulated not to stain light stones, but it works perfectly fine on dark stones like black granite as well.

Q4: Do I need all 7 steps?

A: For the best possible "mirror" finish, yes, we recommend going through the full sequence (50 to 3000). If you only need a honed (matte) finish, you can stop at grit #400 or #800.
